Installing on Mac

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag StrangeDocs into Applications.
  2. Open StrangeDocs. macOS will say it can't verify the app (it isn't distributed through the App Store) — click Done.
  3. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to StrangeDocs, then confirm.

Alternatively, run this once in Terminal: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/StrangeDocs.app

Installing on Windows

  1. Run StrangeDocs-Setup.exe.
  2. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway.
  3. Follow the installer. StrangeDocs appears in the Start menu and on your desktop.

Updates

You only do this once. StrangeDocs checks for new versions on its own, downloads them in the background and shows Restart to update when one is ready. You can also check in Settings → Updates. Your documents and settings are kept.
